Relaxation might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you’re having your photo taken! But trust me, the more relaxed you are, the more in love with your photos you’re going to be.

Here’s 3 tips to help you…

1. Be prepared.

Like a good dish, there’s prep work that goes into a photo shoot. Chat to your photographer beforehand about anything that’s making you feel nervous. I have people fill out a questionnaire, send lots of inspiration for outfit selection and we have a planning phone call beforehand so you can do this!

2. Be organised

Give yourself plenty of time on the day to get ready, get to your location and organise anything you need to beforehand (e.g. outfits, wedding details, snack bags, clear umbrellas… etc).

3. Be present

Be present with your loved ones. Redirect your attention to them at any point you’re feeling insecure. Focus on how you’re feeling and not how you look. I always provide people with direction but also make sure they’re having a great time with each other. This is when your photos will really shine. There’s something so special being able to see how you feel about someone in a single image.
