Goodness me, this little man was just divine. It’s such an honour to be able to photograph newborn babies in their first few weeks of life. It’s also a pleasure to be able to meet new parents, see how they’re going and be a small part of this incredible time in their lives. It’s definitely not easy but gosh darn it’s beautiful.
Jessica and Daniel were soooooo relaxed and were just taking everything in their stride. Harvey was an absolute champ and slept through half of the session and then gazed lovingly about his home when he was awake. Not a single cry out of him! His little outfits were sooooooo cute. We utilised his lovely nursery and laid some blankets out on Jessica and Daniels bed. You’d be amazed at how you can create beautiful photos in different parts of the home. All you need is some light coming through a window!
Working with newborns you have to just go with the flow, their needs come first, and it can be stressful for new parents when they’re trying to settle a newborn baby. I always allow extra time for newborn sessions and it does not phase me at all when it’s taking time to comfort your new little one.
